Our founder, the Late Mr T A Adeagbo was a seasoned businessman and family man who had the vision to develop Nigeria’s priemer luxury hotelling brand. Our founder firmly believed that charity begins at home and true to his word planted his vision, our first branch, in his home city of Ibadan.

Having travelled the world on many work-related business trips, Mr. Adeagbo returned committed to the idea that all hardworking Nigerians deserved the opportunity to relax and be pampered from time to time. He believed Nigeria as a country had everything within its boundaries to satisfy each and every one of its citizens’ hopes and desires.

The ‘Royal’ in our name symbolizes the crowning nature of our African heritage and the ‘Cedars’ represent the resilient and enduring nature of our people as is the representation of this magnificent tree in the Bible.
